Agartala: Oct 20: The Congress party is set to initiate a statewide movement demanding the filling of vacant posts in government offices. Pradesh Youth Congress president Neelkamal Saha announced the details during a press conference at the Pradesh Congress Bhawan on Sunday. He highlighted that numerous vacancies exist across various departments, but the government has not taken steps to fill these positions.

Saha criticized the government’s approach of providing jobs through outsourcing, which he claimed increases uncertainty about the future for young women. He also alleged that individuals from outside the state are obtaining fake Permanent Resident Certificates (PRTC) and taking jobs meant for local youth, leading to frustration and addiction among the local youth.

The Congress has planned a program titled “Nesha Nai Jakuri Dao” from October 21 to October 29 to protest against these issues. The Sadar District Congress will kick off the program on October 21. Saha warned that if the government does not take measures to prevent drug addiction and create employment opportunities, the Congress will escalate to a civil disobedience movement in December.

Additionally, Saha made serious allegations against the police at the NCC police station, claiming that narcotic goods are being sold within one kilometer of the station with the assistance of a constable. He emphasized that the Congress will strongly protest against this issue.
