The deputation has been provided by the Congress on Wednesday along with the entire state. Deputation has been given to Deputy Manager Gopesh Ghosh of North District Electricity Department on behalf of North District National Congress in North District Headquarter Dharmanagar. This deputation was led by Uttar District National Congress president lawyer Ajit Das, accompanied by Congress leader Indrajit Pal.

This deputation has been given protesting the way electricity tariff has been increased in the state. The government has been forced to increase the electricity tariff due to the rise in gas prices. But Congress leaders claim that there is a substantial discrepancy in the electricity being supplied to Bangladesh. Moreover, the state government has not yet completely stopped power theft. Tasul can be increased by providing proper electricity. But where there is so much discrepancy, the state government cannot suddenly increase the electricity tariff. The National Congress will organize a movement across the state against this.
