Congress Prepares for Upcoming Village Committee Elections in Tripura

Agartala, Sept 05: A preparatory meeting was held at the Tripura Pradesh Congress Bhawan on Friday, ahead of the upcoming village committee elections.

The meeting was chaired by State Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha and Adivasi Congress Chairman Shabdkumar Jamatia, with all district and block level leaders of Adivasi Congress in attendance.

The strategy for the village committee election was discussed, focusing on how Congress would lead the people and counter opposition tactics, including preventing nomination paper filings and pressuring candidates to withdraw.

State Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha emphasized that the overall issue was discussed, underscoring the importance of comprehensive preparation for the upcoming elections.
