Inaugurating a blood donation camp at the premises of the ward office of AMC Ward No-39, AD Nagar H.S, Chief Minister, highlighted that during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a crisis in blood banks, and at that time, he appealed to all to come forward for blood donation.

“Many people have come forward to donate blood. During the 2023 Assembly polls, there was also a blood crisis, and people came forward to help at that time as well. If we voluntarily donate blood, then there will be no crisis. Without blood, no one can survive. It is a gift from God, and one can donate it to others. We have excess blood in our bodies. If we do not donate blood in time, it dies inside our bodies. There is no problem in donating blood,” said Dr. Saha.

Dr. Saha informed that around 125 blood donors participated in today’s blood donation camp.

“I have seen many people who have donated blood more than 20 times. I see a competition in blood donation. Donating blood is good for health. Now, blood separation can also be done here in Tripura. We have 12 blood banks, including two private ones. We must come forward to donate blood. We must maintain a balance between donating and supplying blood, as blood can’t be stored for a long time. Donating blood is the biggest social responsibility, and there is no substitute for blood as nothing can replace it,” he added.

During the program Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder and others were present.
