Agartala, Aug 23: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday emphasized the need for a citizen-friendly judicial system that ensures justice is fair, fast, accessible, and affordable. He assured all possible support from the state government to strengthen the judicial framework and appealed for cooperation in building a “Viksit Tripura by 2047,” in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the 16th Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge (Junior Division) Court at Mohanpur. The event was graced by Tripura High Court Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, Justice T. Amarnath Goud, Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and Advocate General Shaktimoy Chakraborty, among other dignitaries.
Dr. Saha urged judicial authorities to ensure that citizens do not face harassment or long delays in seeking justice. He highlighted that legal complications often disrupt the development process, stressing the need for timely resolution of disputes.
Despite financial constraints, the state government is implementing a wide range of development projects across various sectors, including women empowerment, economic growth, employment generation, social welfare, and human resource development. This, he said, has been possible due to the government’s principle of good governance, transparency, and accountability.
The Chief Minister also pointed out the remarkable development witnessed in Mohanpur constituency in recent years, adding that the inauguration of the new court will be remembered as a historic milestone. He described the occasion as a moment that will be “written in golden letters” in Mohanpur’s history.
The inauguration program witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, reflecting the significance of the new judicial institution for the region.
