Agartala December 5: The law is there, but the law is not kept. Many people draw water from neighboring houses by installing pumps. Inaugurating the ground water treatment plant at Usha Bazar on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that he has instructed the Chief Minister’s office to find a quick solution in this regard. He said, the department has been instructed to give importance to how iron-free drinking water can be provided to the people.

Besides, a meeting was held on Monday with the concerned department about increasing the source of water in the coming days. He said that he visited all the management in the lab after coming to the function organized today. Learned from the staff how they have taken initiatives to draw water from underground to free iron and free fungi. Earlier this day, the Chief Minister took the government to task. He said they only mouthed no water, no food. But under the leadership of the Prime Minister, basic rights are now reaching the people. This project has been inaugurated in Usha Bazar by spending 78 crore rupees. Purified drinking water will be provided to the people through such projects in the coming days. Former MLA Doctor Dilip Das, Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Shailesh Kumar Yadav and others were present during the visit of the Chief Minister Lab.
