Agartala, August 12: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said the state government is working with the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, stressing the importance of collective participation in achieving inclusive development across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha praised the traders of Hawkers Corner for their collective efforts in developing the marketplace into a prominent commercial hub in Tripura. He said cooperation and discipline among traders are essential for the smooth functioning and growth of markets.

The Chief Minister said traders have an important role in creating an environment that serves the interests of both business owners and customers. He urged them to maintain discipline and remain vigilant against any malpractice or disorder within marketplaces.

Dr. Saha also announced that the state government is taking steps to modernise markets and stalls across Tripura. He said the proposed improvements are aimed at providing better infrastructure and creating a more convenient environment for traders as well as customers.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that modernisation of market facilities would enable traders to conduct their businesses in improved conditions while ensuring better services for the public.

Emphasising the importance of maintaining a clean, transparent and fair business environment, Dr. Saha appealed to traders and market committees to keep public interest at the forefront of their activities.

During the programme, newly elected members of the market committee also took oath. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the new committee would discharge its responsibilities effectively and work to protect the interests of traders and consumers.

Highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation, Dr. Saha said regular participation in such initiatives is essential for meeting the state’s healthcare requirements and helping patients in need.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta, corporator Ratna Dutta, Hawkers Union president Sujit Roy and other dignitaries attended the programme.

The Chief Minister appreciated the Hawkers Union for organising the initiative and encouraged greater public participation in voluntary blood donation.
