Agartala: Oct 23: A group of 14 journalists from Chhattisgarh is on a visit to Tripura to explore the state’s rich natural and cultural heritage and to understand the pace of its development. During their visit, which will continue until the coming Sunday, the media team will be visiting various projects and historical sites in the state.
Upon arriving in Agartala on Tuesday, the visiting journalists from Chhattisgarh inspected the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Agartala, which is under the Land Ports Authority of India. They also visited the Tripura Tourism Corporation and learned about the state’s tourism potential, future plans, and the growth of tourist arrivals.
Today, they visited the Tripureswari Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and the most important religious destination in the state. They also inspected the ongoing development project under the Central Tourism Ministry’s ‘Prasad’ scheme surrounding the Tripureswari Temple. Similarly, they visited the ICP in Srimantapur, Sepahijala district, and discussed the importance of the ICP in trade and passenger movement with officials. During this visit, they exchanged views with officials from the Tourism Department, BSF security officials, and ICP.
Tomorrow, the media team will visit Ujjayanta Palace, the Industrial Estate in Bodhjungnagar, and projects under the National Bamboo Mission. They will also visit the Smart City project OTPC, ONGC plant, rubber board plantation, organic villages, and various other development and industrial projects of the state and central governments.
In this seven-day media tour, organized by the Press Information Bureau, the journalists from Chhattisgarh will interact and meet with officials from various state and central agencies, including industry, health, urban development, LPAI, ONGC, OTPC, BSF, and the Rubber Board.
