Agartala: Mar 21: As part of its annual initiative, BTVM (Bharatiya Vidya Mandir) successfully organized a seven-day NSS Special Camp, under the guidance of Smt. Swapna Shome, Principal of BTVM. The camp, aimed at fostering social responsibility and community service among students, saw the active participation of selected students from Class 11.
The camp was inaugurated on the first day by Si Prabal Kanti Deb, TCS, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Tripura, and the Tripura State NSS Nodal Officer. Special guests for the occasion included Sri Suman Banik, a National Awardee and NSS Program Officer of Madhuban Dukli School, and Sri Debashis Chakraborty, Retired IFS and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), who graced the occasion with their presence.
Over the course of the seven days, the camp featured a variety of activities designed to promote social welfare and personal growth. These included a cleanliness drive, awareness programs, social activities, excursions, a visit to a brickfield, and the distribution of care packs to the needy. Students also participated in cultural events, sports activities, and sessions on art and creativity, all of which helped in developing a well-rounded personality.
The camp concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Dr. Sabyasachi Nath, State Forensic Scientist at the State Science Laboratory in Narsingarh, who was the Chief Guest, and Dr. Rajat Dey, Principal of BTCTE, as a special guest. Sri Debashis Chakraborty also attended the event. During the ceremony, students were awarded prizes for their performances in various competitions held throughout the camp. The NSS Program Officer of the school delivered the vote of thanks, and the event ended on a positive note, reflecting the camp’s success in promoting community spirit and personal development.
