Agartala: Jan 09: In a heartening turn of events, three indigenous youths safely returned to their homes after a swift and efficient rescue operation coordinated by the Madhupur Police Station and BSF personnel. The youths had traveled to the Bangladesh border for work, with necessary permissions from the BSF, passing through the Debipur-Rajartila area under Madhupur Police Station’s jurisdiction.

While on the Bangladesh side, the youths were apprehended by the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB). They were initially detained at the Chandidar Border Outpost (BOP) before being moved to the Kasba Police Station and later transferred to Brahmanbaria Police Station for further investigation.

News of their arrest quickly spread, causing widespread panic and distress among their families. Anxious relatives awaited updates, fearing for their loved ones’ safety and well-being.

Responding to the situation, the Madhupur Police Station and BSF launched immediate efforts to secure the youths’ safe return. Coordinating closely with their counterparts in Bangladesh, the teams worked tirelessly to ensure the youths were safely repatriated.

After days of intense coordination and searching, the youths were finally handed over to the Kamalasagar Mia Para BSF late on Wednesday night. The BSF personnel acted promptly to facilitate their transfer to the Madhupur Police Station, where they were joyfully reunited with their families.

The relief and happiness of the families were palpable, as they embraced their loved ones after a harrowing ordeal. The successful resolution of this incident not only brought immense joy to the families but also highlighted the effectiveness of cross-border cooperation between Indian and Bangladeshi authorities.
