BSF DG discussed with BGB on border security

DG of BSF has examined the Indo-Bangla border security in Tripura. Sujoy Lal Thaosen. On his visit to Tripura, he held discussions with the Border Guard Force of Bangladesh and BSF working in the state. He also met the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary.

BSF DG Dr. Thaosen visited Tripura on March 16. He was accompanied by ADG(EC) Sonali Mishra. He was received by the IG of BSF Tripura Frontier. He then had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Chief Secretary JK Sinha.

During his visit to Tripura, BCF DG visited various border areas. He visited Deepak BOP where barbed wire fencing was not installed and single row fencing work at NC Nagar. He participated in the Warden Conference at NC Nagar BOP. He then visited Agartala-Akhaura ICP. There he was felicitated by the regional commander of BGB Sarail. Officials of the two countries held lengthy discussions on border security. Basically, there was a detailed discussion between the top officials of the two border guarding forces to coordinate issues related to border management, prevention of drug smuggling.

BSF DG Dr. Thaosen also spoke to the jawans of the force on duty at the Indo-Bangla international border. They learned from them about various problems in the field of border security. He thanked for working hard day and night in border security.
