Agartala: Mar 28: A tragic incident occurred in Udaipur Gokulpur earlier today, leading to widespread concern in the local community. A bomb explosion seriously injured a 12-year-old student, who is now receiving treatment at Gomati District Hospital.

According to initial reports, children were playing cricket in the Udaipur area when their ball rolled into a nearby jungle. Dipanta Debnath, a seventh-grade student, went to retrieve the ball and encountered a round object that exploded as he approached it. The blast caused panic among the other children, who began shouting for help.

Local residents and family members immediately rushed to the site of the explosion, informing the boy’s father, Biplab Debnath. The injured child was swiftly taken to Gomati District Hospital, where doctors have admitted him to the surgical ward for treatment.

Police from Radha Kishorepur Police Station arrived at the scene following the incident and are conducting further investigations into the explosion.
