Tripura, July 7 :In response to the recent decrease in blood donations due to the Lok Sabha elections, various organizations in the state have stepped forward to address the shortage. On Sunday, a blood donation camp was organized at IMA House in observance of National Doctors’ Day 2024.
The event, inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, emphasized the crucial role played by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in the past. The IMA has consistently advocated for public interests and organized social programs. Today’s blood donation camp is expected to benefit critically ill patients, and the Chief Minister called for its continuation in the coming days.
Highlighting the IMA’s longstanding commitment to public welfare, Dr. Sanjeev Debbarma, Director of Health Services, and other dignitaries were also present. The remarkable turnout of blood donors underscores the importance of such initiatives in addressing blood shortages across the state.
