Agartala: November 16: A public meeting has been organized by the ruling party BJP on November 20 to show the strength of the BJP party in the Dharmanagar assembly constituency.

Dharmanagar Constituency MLA and Assembly Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen, Municipal council Chairman Pradyut De Sarkar, Dharmanagar Mandal President Shyamal Kanti Nath, leaders of various levels of Mandals of 56 Assembly Constituencies, general public including Chief Deputy Heads of Village Panchayats of the Assembly area and general public will be present as the main speaker in that public meeting.

Speaker Biswabandhu Sen said that the strength of the BJP party in the Dharmanagar assembly area will be demonstrated in the public meeting of that day. He said that many people tried to leave various parties and join the BJP, but based on past experience, the MLA would welcome only a few people with the BJP party flag.

On this day, he also said that those who are on priority to attend the Maha Jansabha are Left Front SITU leader and then hawkers union secretary Kalipad Dey and his associates, Sanskarti Priya Kalamandal leader Santosh Sutradhar and his wife, Sunanda Nath of Pyari Mohan music college and her husband Hillol Nath along with Some selected members.

1 passengers were injured in the terrible road accident today at Hatai Kotor, which is known as Baramura Hills ranges under Teliamura Police Station. They were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two passenger cars. The fire brigade rescued the injured and took them to Jirania Hospital and the rest to Teliamura Hospital. At that time, opposition leader Animesh Debbarma was going to Khowai from Khumuluwng. He extended his helping hand to rescue the injured in the accident.

On the issue, Teliamura Sub-divisional Police Officer, Prasun Kanti Tripura, stated that more than 15 persons were injured in the collision between a bus and a four-wheeler carrying passengers.

“Due to overspeeding, the four-wheeler lost control in the hilly area, resulting in a head-on collision between the two vehicles. We have rushed the injured passengers to the hospital. However, there are no reports of casualties,” said the SDPO.

According to the details of the incident, there was a head-on collision between a Max car and a bus while taking a turn at Baramura Hill this morning. At least 11 passengers in the Max car were injured.

Chinu Bala Das (35) and Biki Das (4) were referred to GB Pant Hospital in Agartala due to the severity of their condition. The rest received minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital after preliminary treatment.
