Agartala, November 21 : Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which is developing across Tripura, has gained special momentum. Financially weaker sections of the society are showing particular enthusiasm to know about the welfare schemes of the central government. Various beneficiaries are getting various government benefits through this ‘Bikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’. Pratima Bhowmik, Union Minister of State for Social Justice, Justice and Empowerment, was present at Balaram Village Committee area under Ambassa Block of Dhalai District on the seventh day of the Bharat Sankalp Yatra on Tuesday.

On the occasion, the Union Minister said that this action is aimed at build a developed India by 2047. Officials have joined this campaign to make common people more aware about the various schemes of the central government. A mobile IEC van has also joined the initiative to convey information about various community-oriented projects to the people. Officials of various government departments were also present at the event. Union Minister of State Smt. Bhowmik handed over various certificates and approvals under various schemes to the beneficiaries present at the venue. On this day, the women present expressed their happiness to get the gas connection of Ujjala Yojana. Besides, certificates were also handed over to the real beneficiaries who were deprived of other projects.

 

As part of the Pradhan Mantri Matrubandana Yojana, the Union Minister of State offered sweets to expectant mothers. Besides, a feeding program was organized for the small children, Mrs. Bhowmik celebrated the program by feeding the children. A free medical camp was held for the villagers present.

Prabir Debnath, a resident of Balaram Village Committee, has got a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a very popular and people-oriented project of the central government. Mrs. Bhowmik opened the door by cutting the door of her brick house. Naturally, Prabir Debnath’s family is happy to get a new house. Mrs. Bhowmick said, “In the last six years, nearly four lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses have been provided to the residents of Tripura’s marginal areas, whose dream is to live in a solid house one day.” The Prime Minister of the country has given them a kitchen to fulfill their dream. Moreover, Prabir Debnath’s family got proper toilets and domesticated animals to support the family.

Apart from the Union Minister of State Shri Pratima Bhowmik, District President of Dhalai District Anadi Sarkar, Additional District Magistrate of Dhalai District Biswajit Pal and others were present in the event of the development of Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik visited several houses in the said village area and was informed about the government facilities that the people of the area have got. Union Minister of State Shri Pratima Bhowmik said ‘Bharat Sankalp Yatra has started to develop in 2 lakh 70 thousand villages. The main objective of this journey is to provide the benefits which are not available to the people due to some reason. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started this journey with this objective.

 

It may be pertinently mentioned that the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi officially launched the ‘Bikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Kunti district of Jharkhand on the occasion of ‘People’s Pride Day’ on November 15, 2023. Various Central Government Ministries and State Governments have been involved in making this campaign a success. This special campaign will continue till January 24, 2024.
