Agartala: June 03: A Bangladeshi citizen has been arrested by Dharmanagar police station for illegal entry. A police official said that no valid documents were found from him.

A police official said that the police received information from secret sources that a young man was roaming around Dharmanagar Rajbari area illegally entering Tripura. On the basis of that information, the police of Dhamarnagar police station conducted a raid last night and arrested a young suspect. He was arrested and brought to the police station for questioning. During police interrogation, the youth admitted to illegally entering Tripura.

He also said that no valid documents were received from him. The arrested youth has been identified as Surjit Debnath, a resident of Chandipur, Bangladesh. The police said that he will be handed over to the court tomorrow.
