Agartala March 8: Manoj Kanti Dev dropped out of the Cabinet. Disappointed people of Kamalpur. Like the 2018 assembly elections, the common people were expecting the ministerial dream of Manoj Kanti Dev, the winning candidate of the Kamalpur assembly constituency. But the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday completely disappointed the people of Kamalpur. Manoj Kanti Dev was expected to get the ministry this time too. But it has been seen that despite one BJP candidate taking oath, the name of Manoj Kanti Dev has not been announced. After that, the party workers started leaving the field. Meanwhile, those who were watching the swearing-in ceremony from Kamalpur on news media channels were also somewhat disappointed.

This news spread quickly. Kamalpur residents said they expected Manoj Kanti Dev from Dholai district to get the ministry. But it was seen that no one got ministry from Dhalai district. Their statement Manoj Kanti Dev has done a lot of work in the area in the last five years. They said that they are very sad because he did not get the ministership this time. A shopkeeper in Kamalpur said that today is the day of Holi. They bought a large quantity of Abi in the shop. They will play colors in the area if Manoj Kanti Dev becomes minister. But today’s swearing-in ceremony has disappointed them. He also said that no ministry has been given in Dholai district but ministry has been given in 9 crore districts. It is unexpected of them. So it is demanded that Manoj Kanti Dev be given the ministry. It remains to be seen whether the party high command fulfills the demands of the people of Dhalai district.

Meanwhile, as expected, Khoai district was deprived of the ministry. There are total 6 assembly constituencies in Khowai district. BJP candidate won from Kalyanpur Pramod Nagar, Teliamura and Krishnapur assembly constituencies out of 6 assembly constituencies. On the other hand, CPIM has managed to keep the Khwai center under their control. Tipra Matha won from the remaining two centres. Among the three assembly constituencies that the BJP has won, Pinaki Das Chowdhury, who won from the Kalyanpur Pramod Nagar assembly constituency, was a ministerial contender this time because as the district president he organized the organization efficiently. Moreover, he has organizational skills. A two-time MLA over him. On the other hand, Teliamura MLA Kalyani Roy was also a ministerial contender this time. After Pinaki Das Chowdhury, Kalyani Roy was the claimant for the ministry. But both had to be disappointed. Krishnapur constituency MLA Vikas Debbarma got the ministry from Khowai district. He has contested as an MLA for the first time. On this day he took oath as a minister. The people of Khowai district are kind of disappointed due to the appointment of Vikas Debbarma as minister. Pinaki Das Chowdhury is known as a gentleman in the entire Khoai district. Moreover, he is the district president. So everyone hoped that maybe Pinaki Das Chowdhury would be the minister this time because if he becomes a minister, he will work for the development of the whole Khowai district. But Pinaki Das Chowdhury had to be deprived of the ministry. On the other hand, Teliamurabasi was optimistic about Kalyani Roy’s ministry. But that didn’t happen. According to the well-intentioned people of Khoai district, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury should be given importance if someone is given a new place in the ministerial meeting. Then it will be good for BJP party in Khoai district. The party will be stronger in Khowai district.
