Agartala: May 13: The All India Democratic Students’ Organization (AIDSO) has expressed apprehensions regarding the education system under the Vidya Jyoti project. In a deputation submitted to education department officials, AIDSO outlined several demands, including the provision of education in students’ mother tongues and early English-medium instruction.

Ramprasad Acharya, the state secretary of AIDSO, highlighted disruptions in the teaching-learning process within Vidya Jyoti schools. Students are reportedly anxious due to the state government’s decision to mandate English instruction starting from class IX. AIDSO contends that this sudden shift will not enhance the education sector.
