Agartala city was awarded as the cleanest city: Mayor

Agartala, January 16: Agartala city has been awarded as the cleanest city by the Department of Urban Development, Government of India on January 11. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumder said this in a press conference at the office of Municipal Corporation today.

He said, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta accepted the award, which is a matter of great joy and pride to the entire city. This award has been achieved by the efforts of the corporators, MIC members, chairman, officials of Agartala Corporation and cleaning staff.

He also said that since the formation of BJP government in the state in 2018, Municipal Corporation has been receiving awards from many organizations at various times. For the past 25 years, people have not seen the city in a clean state.
