Agartala: June 8: ADG BSF (Eastern Command), Ravi Gandhi, visited the headquarters of BSF Tripura Frontier today. During his visit, he engaged in discussions about the current security situation and various administrative aspects related to border management.
IGS Patel Piyush Purushottam Das, IPS, and other senior officers warmly welcomed the ADG. IG Patel briefed him on the security situation along the India-Bangladesh international border and the strategies in place to address challenges.
Subsequently, the ADG held a meeting with Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha (IAS) and Tripura Police DGP Amitabh Ranjan to discuss the state’s security situation.
The ADG also visited BOP Yakubnagar and Lathiapura, where commandants provided updates on operational preparations. Additionally, he reviewed operations at LCS Manughat and Rangana.
Dr. Prema Gandhi, president of BSF’s Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), accompanied the ADG during his visit. He interacted with patients at the Composite Hospital and engaged with women from the Tripura border community.
