The meeting was part of ADG Agarwal’s four-day official tour of Tripura to review border management and operational preparedness along the India-Bangladesh international border. During the visit, he has been interacting with BSF personnel across various border outposts and meeting key state officials to strengthen coordination on security matters.

At Raj Bhavan, ADG Agarwal briefed the Governor on the current border situation, challenges in managing the international border, and the BSF’s ongoing efforts to enhance surveillance and prevent illegal activities, including cross-border infiltration and smuggling.

The Governor appreciated the role of the BSF in ensuring the safety and security of the border regions in Tripura and lauded the dedication and professionalism displayed by the force under challenging conditions. He also acknowledged the BSF’s contribution to maintaining peace and supporting civil administration in remote and sensitive areas.

Both dignitaries exchanged views on matters of strategic and administrative importance, including the need for continued cooperation between central forces and the state government to uphold law and order and promote development in border regions.

ADG Agarwal’s visit underscores the BSF’s commitment to maintaining a high level of preparedness and close coordination with state authorities for effective border management in Tripura.
