Agartala: Oct 06: The Tripura State Electricity Corporation has undertaken extensive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the festive season, including Durga Puja and Diwali. While the peak demand during last year’s festivities was 310 MW, this year the corporation has a reserve of 410 MW to guarantee continuous power supply.

Additionally, extra staff have been deployed on a 24-hour basis to immediately address any technical issues. Extra transformers, vehicles, and skilled workers are prepared to handle any problems.

On Sunday afternoon, the Power Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, received a detailed briefing from the corporation’s officials at a review meeting held at the corporate office of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited. He interacted with AGMs, DGMs, and senior managers from across the state through a video conference and issued necessary instructions to ensure uninterrupted power supply in areas from Dharmanagar to Sabrum.

The Managing Director of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation, Bishwajit Basu, informed the review meeting that the corporation has made all-out efforts to ensure a bright festive season. Repair work has been completed across the state, and additional transformers have been stocked. The corporation’s repair teams have been put on 24-hour duty with all leaves canceled.

Furthermore, the Tripura State Electricity Corporation and TPPTL at 79 Tilla have opened control rooms that will operate 24 hours a day during the festive season. Three teams have been stationed at Ashram Chowmuhani, Paradise Chowmuhani, and Ram Thakur Sangha areas in Agartala city to quickly respond to any electrical issues.

A safety team will also be on standby. TPPTL has already commissioned high-capacity transformers and repaired high-voltage power lines to prevent any disruptions in high-capacity power lines. The Power Minister has stated that the electricity corporation is prepared to provide uninterrupted power supply and has requested the general public to refrain from coming into contact with any live power lines during the puja.

In essence, the text highlights the preparations made by the Tripura State Electricity Corporation to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted power supply during the festive season, including the deployment of additional resources, staff, and the establishment of control rooms.
