AD Nagar Police Conduct Successful Drug Raid; Goods Worth Over One Lakh Rupees Recovered

Agartala: Oct 17: The AD Nagar police station successfully conducted a drug raid based on a tip-off, recovering goods worth over one lakh rupees, including foreign liquor and firecrackers. However, the shop owner involved in the incident could not be apprehended.

A police official stated, “Based on a tip-off, we received information that a large quantity of foreign liquor and firecrackers were stored in a shop in Camper Bazar, which falls under the AD Nagar police station. Acting on this information, the police conducted a raid. During the raid, foreign liquor and firecrackers worth over one lakh rupees were recovered.”

He further mentioned, “The police administration and the Pollution Control Board had already made the public aware to prevent noise pollution. Despite this, some businessmen illegally started selling firecrackers during the Puja days. The AD Nagar police have taken action against them.” He also informed that such raids will continue in the future.
