Accused in High-Profile Murder Case Brought to State

Agartala, May 11: Akash Kar, the prime suspect in the murder of Durgaprasad Deb, also known as Vicky, has been extradited to the state. Vicky, the secretary of Bharat Ratna Sangha Club in Usho Bazar, was fatally shot on April 30. The investigation into this high-profile murder case has led to the arrest of several individuals, both within and outside the state.

Akash Kar’s apprehension occurred in Jharkhand on Thursday night. Following his arrest, a state police team swiftly traveled to Jharkhand. On Saturday morning, Akash Kar was transported back to Tripura via plane on transit remand. Upon arrival, he underwent a medical examination at GB Hospital before being taken to the local police station.
