Agartala, December 5: A Bangladeshi youth was arrested by the police while smuggling drugs to Tripura illegally. The police managed to recover nine hundred Yaba tablets by searching him. A case under NDPS and Passport Act will be filed against him and handed over to the court.

A police official said, based on secret information, the Sonamura police station received information that a Bangladeshi youth had entered India for drug dealing in Kulubari area. Based on that information, the police conducted an operation. A young man named Arian Hossain was arrested in that operation. The police managed to recover nine hundred Yaba tablets from him.

 

He also said that the accused Arian Hossain is connected with the drug trade in Bangladesh. When he was interrogated it was found that he had come to Tripura illegally. He has no valid documents. He came to Sonamura to smuggle drugs.
