Agartala: Feb 03: Inspiring Recognition for Academic Excellence in Tripura the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gold Medal and Merit Award Ceremony, organized by the state’s Scheduled Welfare Department, celebrated the achievements of exceptional students. Speaking at the event, Minister Sudhangshu Das emphasized that success is not a final destination, but rather an ongoing journey that requires dedicated hard work.
The life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary leader and social reformer, served as an inspiration to all attendees. In the academic year 2022-23, nine out of ten students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, who secured top positions in the state from the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), were honored with gold medals and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. Additionally, students from various schools in West Tripura district, achieving 60% marks in the SC category, received special recognition.
On this momentous occasion, 471 SC category students from across the state were awarded Rs 1500 each for their outstanding performance in the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations.
Minister Das expressed confidence that this award ceremony would motivate students to pursue further studies diligently. He emphasized the importance of sustained effort in maintaining success. The recognition bestowed upon these young achievers reflects the state’s commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence in education.
