Agartala, October 31: Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated with due dignity in Tripura along with the rest of the country. On this day, the official main event was held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. Electricity Minister Ratanlal Nath was the chief guest at the event organized by Youth Affairs and Sports Department. Besides, Minister of Industry Department Santana Chakma, Minister of Youth Affairs Sports Department Tinku Roy. Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Pal. Secretaries of various departments, high-ranking police officers, and others. Ratan Lal Nath recited the oath of Rashtriya Ekta Divas to everyone on the occasion.
Moreover, Unity Run was held from Vivekananda Maidan on this day. On this day, the Unity Run circumambulated the various routes of the city and ended again at Vivekananda Maidan.
Incidentally, October 31 is the birth anniversary of iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who dedicated his life to protecting national unity, solidarity and sovereignty. State-wise Rashtriya Ekta Diwas organized on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary was held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan.
On this day, Ratanlal Nath said, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated for the first time in 2014. Because Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did great work for India. A nationwide marathon has been organized to raise awareness about national integrity, the pledge of national unity and the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
On this day, he also said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the founder of integral and undivided India.
