Three people including the driver of the car have been arrested In this regard, Acting Superintendent of Police of North Tripura District, Bhanupad Chakraborty, said that on the basis of secret sources, traffickers with drugs were caught in the police’s nose checking. He also said that on Friday night, the police had a tip-off that a drug trafficking gang from Sonamura area of Tripura, Lagoa, would collect deadly drugs from a place in Karimganj district of Assam state and reach Tripura. Later they wanted to smuggle the drugs elsewhere The police became active on such news On Saturday, the Bolero car number TR01F2938 arrived in front of the Tripura Churaibari police station on top of the Assam border at Kakvor and the police on duty searched the car. Seven thousand narcotic yaba tablets in different packets were recovered from a special compartment under the Bolero car, the black market value of which is estimated to be Rs.6 crore.
