On Saturday night, ‘Gangster’ Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were killed by assailants in front of the police in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Atiq had appealed to the jail authorities to attend the funeral of his dead son Asad on Saturday His son Asad was one of the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. Asad was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Police.
