A new feather added to the crown of Kolkata!!
The metro train ran under the river Ganga’s making history . The first metro in India was rolled on October 24, 1984 from Kolkata’s Explanade Metro Station to Bhavanipur. This time too, the metro train ran under water for the first time in this city of Kolkata. At around 11:52 on Wednesday, April 12, two rakes of the metro reached Howrah Maidan through the underground tunnel under the Ganges. The trial preparation phase of the metro has been completed on this much awaited tunnel route .
