President Draupadi Murmu today took a historic ride in a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet at Tezpur Airforce Station in Assam. President Draupadi Murmu is the third president and the second woman president to take such a step. The president flew over the Brahmaputra and Tezpur valleys for about 30 minutes. The aircraft is being flown by GP Capt Naveen Kumar, Commanding Officer of 106 Squadron. President Draupadi Murmu wrote “I congratulate the Indian Air Force and the entire team at Air Force Station Tezpur for organizing this. “It was an exhilarating experience for me to fly in the mighty Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force.”
