Agartala April 5: A seven-month-old baby died for negligence of treatment at IGM Hospital on Wednesday. The complaint is from the family of Prashanta Das, a resident of Dakshin Nalchar. It is known that the child was suffering from fever and cough for several days.

The child’s family members were treated at an asthma hospital. But as the child’s physical condition did not change, he was shown to Melaghar Hospital. Later, seeing the deterioration of the child’s physical condition, the doctor on duty referred him from Melaghar Hospital to IGM Hospital with oxygen in the morning. As usual, after bringing the baby to IGM hospital, the doctor did not even touch the baby. The child is said to be dead from a distance. The family members of the child also complained that the child performed natural functions even after the doctor declared the child dead. Then how the doctor declared dead. Therefore, the family members of the dead child expressed strong anger at the role of the doctor. The child’s mother burst into tears. He demanded strict punishment for the doctors on duty in the accused children’s department. Later, the child’s body was sent to the morgue for post-mortem. A shadow of grief descends on the family members.
