Agartala, September 23: The BJP, Tipra Motha and IPFT stepped up their joint campaign for the September 28 Village Committee elections with a meeting at Chandranath Thakurpara Anganwadi Centre under Radhacharan Village Committee in the Kalyanpur–Pramodnagar constituency on Wednesday.
The campaign programme was organised in support of the alliance candidate and saw participation from residents and grassroots workers of the three parties. Kalyanpur MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury and Mandal president Nitai Bal were among the leaders who attended the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, speakers discussed development priorities in the locality and highlighted the need for improvements in infrastructure and welfare delivery. They emphasised closer engagement between the people and elected representatives to ensure that local concerns are addressed and government development initiatives reach the grassroots.
The alliance leaders also underlined the importance of maintaining peace and harmony alongside continued development in the area. They urged voters to extend their support to the joint candidate in the forthcoming Village Committee election.
The meeting was part of the ongoing constituency-level campaign being conducted jointly by the BJP, Tipra Motha and IPFT ahead of polling. Party leaders and workers have been holding outreach programmes in different areas as campaigning continues across Tripura.
The Village Committee elections are scheduled to be held on September 28, with political parties and candidates intensifying their activities across the state in the run-up to polling.
