Ambassa, July 23: Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday chaired his first administrative review meeting as the Guardian Minister of Dhalai district, outlining a comprehensive development strategy aimed at accelerating economic growth, improving public services and ensuring inclusive development across the district.
The meeting, held at the office of the District Magistrate in Ambassa, was attended by senior district officials, elected representatives and members of the district administration. Nath reviewed the status of ongoing development projects and directed officials to ensure effective implementation of government programmes.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister said the government’s primary objective is to make Dhalai economically self-reliant by creating employment opportunities and fostering an environment conducive to sustainable development. He stressed that all departments must work in close coordination to ensure that the benefits of development reach every section of society.
Nath said special priority would be given to improving the quality of education and healthcare services in the district. He also emphasised the need to strengthen drinking water supply, agriculture, road connectivity, electricity services and other essential public infrastructure to improve the standard of living of residents.
The Minister instructed officials to ensure that welfare schemes are implemented transparently and within stipulated timelines, particularly in remote and inaccessible areas of the district. He said every eligible beneficiary should receive government assistance without delay or discrimination.
Highlighting the government’s development philosophy, Nath said the administration is working in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” He added that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, is committed to ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all districts of Tripura.
“The welfare, prosperity and overall progress of every resident of Dhalai remain our highest priority. We are determined to take the district to new heights of development through coordinated efforts and efficient governance,” the Minister said.
