Addressing a public gathering at Halahali Higher Secondary School, the Chief Minister said the state government has been implementing a series of developmental initiatives under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that special attention is being given to the development of Aspirational Blocks to ensure balanced growth across all regions.

Highlighting achievements in the education sector, Dr. Saha said Tripura has earned recognition as the country’s third fully literate state. He pointed to initiatives such as Smart Classes, Nipun Tripura, and bicycle distribution programmes for girl students as key steps toward improving educational quality and accessibility. He also informed that construction of 21 Eklavya Model Residential Schools is underway to provide better educational opportunities for tribal students.

The Chief Minister said healthcare infrastructure has witnessed substantial improvement in recent years. Schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana have expanded access to quality healthcare services for people across the state.

Dr. Saha also highlighted welfare schemes including PM Awas Yojana, PM-KISAN, and PM-JANMAN, while emphasizing the government’s focus on women’s empowerment. He said around 55,000 Self-Help Groups involving more than five lakh women are currently active in Tripura.

During the programme, the Chief Minister flagged off eight garbage collection vehicles under the Swachh Bharat Mission and called upon citizens to actively contribute to the state’s development journey.
