Agartala, May 20: State Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday stressed the significance of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s philosophy of Antyodaya — ensuring welfare and development for the last person in society — while addressing a mandal-level training camp organized by the BJP Barjala Mandal under the ongoing Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan.
Addressing party workers and participants at the training session, the minister said the campaign aims not only to strengthen organizational structure but also to instill a deeper sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment towards society among grassroots workers.
Das stated that the training programme had successfully encouraged qualities such as dedication, confidence, accountability, and a spirit of public service among participants. According to him, these values are essential for creating a motivated and service-oriented cadre capable of working effectively for the welfare of the people.
He emphasized that the ideology of Antyodaya continues to remain a guiding principle for party workers and serves as a foundation for their efforts at the grassroots level. The minister said the philosophy encourages individuals to work with sincerity and focus on uplifting the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of society.
“The purpose of such training is not limited to enhancing organizational discipline or political understanding. It is equally important in nurturing social responsibility and encouraging workers to engage more actively in public welfare initiatives,” Das said during his address.
The training camp held at Barjala Mandal formed part of a broader nationwide initiative designed to strengthen the ideological foundation and leadership capacity of party workers. During the programme, participants took part in discussions on various subjects assigned by the state leadership and attended sessions focused on strengthening their understanding of the party’s principles and objectives.
Das further said that by placing Antyodaya at the center of its training initiative, the BJP seeks to reaffirm its commitment to inclusive development and social upliftment. He added that empowered and ideologically driven workers could play a crucial role in ensuring that developmental benefits reach every section of society, particularly those living on the margins.
The minister called upon party workers to continue serving society with dedication and to work actively toward the welfare of the people.
