Agartala, May 15: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Mandal Training Campaign 2026, formally launching a two-day training workshop for BJP workers of the 8-Town Baradowali Mandal.
The campaign is part of a broader statewide organizational programme aimed at strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party’s grassroots structure and preparing party workers for future responsibilities. The initiative focuses on enhancing ideological understanding, organizational discipline and leadership qualities among karyakartas while reinforcing the party’s commitment to public service.
The training programme is based on the principle of “Antyodaya,” a concept associated with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay that emphasizes uplifting the poorest and most marginalized sections of society. Through structured sessions, workers will receive training on the BJP’s history, ideological foundations, organizational values and the achievements of the double-engine government at both the Centre and the state.
Addressing party workers during the inauguration, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said the campaign would gradually cover all mandals, districts and booth-level units across Tripura. He stressed that the training was not limited to political preparation but also aimed at shaping the personal character and service mindset of party workers.
“From today, mandal-level training of karyakartas has started. Every year training camps are organized, but this time the programme will be expanded in a more systematic way. After mandal-level workshops, district, state and booth-level training sessions will also be held,” he said.
Dr. Saha further stated that workers would be educated about government welfare schemes and taught how to maintain close contact with people even beyond elections. He said leadership should be rooted in discipline, honesty and service to society.
State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, who attended the inauguration programme, highlighted the importance of regular organizational training in maintaining party discipline and strengthening commitment among workers.
He said such workshops help build ideological clarity, improve organizational efficiency and inspire workers to contribute more effectively towards public welfare and nation-building activities.
