In an inspiring story of grit and determination, Piyush Das from Sonatala in Tripura’s Khowai district has emerged as the top scorer in his subdivision, securing an exceptional 97% in the CBSE Class 10 examinations. His remarkable achievement has not only brought pride to his family and school but has also become a source of motivation for the entire community.

Piyush’s journey to success was far from easy. His father, Biplab Das, works as a private tutor, earning a modest monthly income of Rs 6,000–7,000 to support the household and his son’s education. Adding to the challenges, Piyush’s mother struggles with mental health issues, and the family has long faced a lack of basic study resources at home. Despite these hardships, Piyush remained focused and committed to his studies, dedicating six to seven hours daily to preparation.

He supplemented his learning with online coaching through Physics Wallah and sought additional guidance from private tutors in English and Biology. Piyush also credits his school teacher, Sanchita Das, for her constant encouragement and academic support, dedicating his success to her guidance.

The announcement of his results triggered celebrations across Sonatala, as neighbors and relatives gathered to congratulate the young achiever. His success stands as a powerful reminder that financial constraints cannot limit talent and determination.

Looking ahead, Piyush plans to pursue science in Class 11 with the dream of becoming an engineer. His father continues to make sacrifices to ensure he receives the best possible education, while the local community has rallied behind him, celebrating his achievement as a beacon of hope for many aspiring students across Tripura.
