Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, accompanied by the First Lady of Tripura, Smt. N. Renuka, graced the Diamond Jubilee BSF Day Celebration held at the BSF Tripura Frontier Headquarters in Salbagan, Agartala, on 3rd December 2025. The event marked a significant moment in the 60-year journey of the Border Security Force, India’s largest border-guarding organisation, which has played an indispensable role in safeguarding national security.
The Governor was warmly received by senior BSF officials and accorded ceremonial honours upon arrival. The celebration showcased the rich legacy, discipline and unwavering commitment of the BSF towards protecting India’s borders, particularly in the challenging terrains of the Northeast. Special presentations highlighting the BSF’s history, achievements and operational excellence were organised as part of the programme.
In his address, Governor Nallu praised the Border Security Force for its relentless dedication, professionalism and courage. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by BSF personnel in defending the nation’s borders and ensuring peace and stability in border regions. He further emphasised that the BSF’s steadfast vigilance has been instrumental in curbing cross-border crimes, maintaining internal security, and fostering peace along the Indo-Bangladesh frontier.
The First Lady, Smt. Renuka, also extended her appreciation to the BSF families for their constant support, noting that the strength of the force lies not only in its personnel but also in the resilience of their loved ones.
The event included vibrant cultural performances, demonstrations of tactical skills, and interactions with BSF personnel and their families. Senior officers from the Tripura Frontier, dignitaries from the civil administration, and representatives from various security agencies were also present.
The Diamond Jubilee celebration served as a reminder of the BSF’s glorious legacy and its continued resolve to serve the nation with honour, courage and dedication.
