Agartala: Feb 27: A fresher died in a road accident on the road adjacent to Nidevi Girls School under Kumarghat police station. On the way from Kanchanbari to Kumarghat, a water tanker TR 01 AD 1566 of the area adjacent to the girls school came from behind and hit the bike. One of the three youths on the bike died on the spot. Eyewitnesses witnessed the incident.

When the injured were brought to the Kumarghat sub-hospital, the doctor declared one of them dead; doctors give first aid to the other two. It is known that the house of 3 youths on the bike is in Kanchanbari area of Fatik Roy. The killer car driver is a resident of Gokulnagar area. Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and recovered the killer car along with the driver and the bike and took it to the Kumarghat police station. The death of a young man in a road accident has cast a shadow of grief over the entire area. The family broke down in tears at the untimely death of the young man. But the question is how many more lives the administration will regain consciousness if it is lost due to carelessness like this. Many people lose their families in car accidents every day. Conscious people are of the opinion that if the police administration had performed its proper duties, the accident could have been prevented to some extent.
