According to party sources, the families previously belonged to TIPRA Motha and CPI(M). Their decision to shift allegiance to the BJP marks a notable boost for the party at the grassroots level in Ambassa, a region known for its dynamic political landscape.

The joining ceremony took place in the presence of Lok Sabha MP Rebati Tripura, who personally welcomed the new members into the party fold. MP Rebati Tripura greeted them warmly, symbolically holding their hands to mark their formal induction into the BJP. He assured them that the party stands committed to ensuring development and security for all communities across the state.

Addressing the gathering, the MP emphasized that the BJP’s policies, development-oriented governance, and inclusive approach have been winning the trust of people from diverse backgrounds. He added that the party is steadily expanding its footprint in the region due to its focus on transparency, welfare schemes, and community development.

Local BJP leaders highlighted that the joining of these families reflects growing dissatisfaction with TIPRA Motha and CPI(M), whom they accused of failing to meet people’s expectations. They stated that residents are increasingly recognizing the BJP as a party capable of bringing tangible change.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from BJP workers, supporters, and local residents. The newly inducted members expressed confidence that the BJP would address their concerns more effectively and contribute to the overall progress of the Ambassa region.
