Agartala, Sep 7: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has extended immediate assistance to the family of Yadav Sutradhar, a resident of Durgapur, Kailashahar, who tragically passed away in Mumbai earlier this week.
Sutradhar, son of Dhirendra Sutradhar and a driver by profession, suffered a fatal stroke on September 3 while at work in Maharashtra’s capital. The sudden demise left his family in deep grief, struggling to bring back his mortal remains to their hometown.
Once the matter was brought to the Chief Minister’s notice, Dr. Saha promptly instructed officials to take necessary measures. The State Secretariat coordinated with the office of the Maharashtra Chief Minister and other concerned authorities to ensure a smooth process for transporting the body back to Tripura.
To facilitate the arrangements, Dr. Saha sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1.20 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The financial assistance covered the expenses required for the transportation of Sutradhar’s mortal remains from Mumbai to Kailashahar.
Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) confirmed that all efforts were made on priority to support the bereaved family during this difficult time. The timely intervention not only ensured that the deceased could be brought home with dignity but also provided emotional relief to his grieving relatives.
The gesture reflects the state government’s commitment to standing by citizens in moments of crisis and extending compassionate support to families in distress.
