100 students from Tripura will visit ISRO

Agartala: Mar 19: A group of 100 students from Tripura will soon embark on an exciting excursion to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as part of a program designed to ignite their interest in applied science and space technology. This initiative aims to enhance the students’ enthusiasm and curiosity about the wonders of space exploration and the advancements in science and technology.

The project is scheduled to begin in April, with 13 students from South Tripura set to take part in the visit. Among them, five students hail from the Sabroom subdivision. These students include Shipra Shil and Tanushree Debnath from PM Shri Sabroom Higher Secondary Girls’ School, Palash Tripura and Neela Debnath from Sabroom English Medium Higher Secondary School, and Rohan Tripura from Manu English Medium Higher Secondary School.

A special mention is made of Shipra Shil and Tanushree Debnath from PM Shri Sabroom Higher Secondary Girls’ School, who are active members of the school’s DNA Club. They have been involved in various science-related activities, showcasing their commitment to learning and exploring the world of science.

The opportunity to visit ISRO is a proud moment for these young students, as it will expose them to the cutting-edge work being done in space technology and research. The visit will also serve as an inspiration for other students in the region, motivating them to pursue careers in science and technology.

Former MLA Shankar Roy expressed his congratulations to the five students from Sabroom, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. This initiative is expected to not only benefit the selected students but also encourage greater interest in space science among students throughout Tripura.
