On this day, a member of the organization stated that the demand for writing Kokborok in Roman script in secondary and higher secondary exams has been submitted to the education department for a long time. However, no action has been taken. They accused the government of playing with the sentiments of tribal students. Deputations have been submitted to the Chief Minister and the Board President, but no initiative has yet been taken to resolve the issue. Hence, today they submitted their demand letter again to the Board President.

They further mentioned that examinees of Kokborok are being pressured to write exclusively in one script, particularly Bengali. Their demand is for the immediate adoption of the Roman script for the Kokborok language.
