Agartala: Feb 15: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha had a significant meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, aimed at strengthening the relationship between Tripura and the central government. The meeting highlighted several key issues concerning the state’s development and cultural heritage.

One of the most notable aspects of the meeting was Chief Minister Saha’s invitation to Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the newly redeveloped Mata Tripureswari Temple at Matabari, Tripura. This iconic temple, which holds immense cultural and religious significance, is seen as a symbol of Tripura’s rich heritage. The presence of Prime Minister Modi would further elevate its importance, reinforcing its status as a central cultural landmark in the state.

In addition to the temple’s inauguration, Chief Minister Saha extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister for his success in the Delhi Assembly Elections and his recent diplomatic visits to France and the USA. He also expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s efforts in advancing India’s global stature.

The discussions also focused on crucial development issues for Tripura. Chief Minister Saha raised the importance of employment generation for the state’s youth, the establishment of premier educational institutes like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM in Tripura, and the development of critical infrastructure such as a National Highway connecting Kamalpur to Santirbazar via Ambassa, Ganda Twisa, Amarpur, and Santirbazar.

The meeting was a positive step towards forging a stronger partnership between the central government and Tripura, with both leaders acknowledging the potential for future collaboration in enhancing the state’s progress and cultural identity.
