Agartala: Jan 31: A three-day national Vedic seminar titled ‘The Contribution of Vedas in Promoting Indian Knowledge Tradition’ was held from January 29 to 31, 2025. The seminar was organized by the Central Sanskrit University Eklavya Campus and Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Vedavidya (Ujjain).
During the concluding ceremony, the chief guest, Shri Debashish Nandi, Speaker of the Land Port Authority (Agartala), emphasized the need to integrate modern Vedic knowledge to create a holistic perspective. Professor Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice Chancellor of Rashtriya Vidhi Vishwavidyalaya, discussed the contribution of Vedas in various branches.
Professor Manoj Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of Vedas at Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, highlighted the need for analysis, preservation, and research of Vedic knowledge. Professor Anand Mishra from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, who joined online, shed light on the new applications of Vedas. Professor Rabindra Nath Bhattacharya emphasized the relevance of Indian scriptures.
Professor Prabhat Kumar Mahapatra, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Eklavya Campus, Tripura, presided over the concluding session. Dr. Prakash Rajan Mishra, Coordinator, and Dr. Ashish Mishra, Co-ordinator, highlighted the objectives of the seminar. The seminar provided a deep understanding of the role of Vedas in Indian knowledge tradition and their relevance in modern society.
