Security measures tightened in Indo-Bangla border ahead of Republic Day

Agartala: Jan 25: Security measures have been further tightened along the international border ahead of Republic Day. The BSF is conducting strict patrolling along the border to prevent any untoward incidents on the eve of Republic Day, as informed by DGP Amitabh Ranjan.

He stated that India’s 76th Republic Day will be celebrated tomorrow, January 26, with various programs across the state. The main Republic Day function has been organized at the Agartala Assam Rifles Ground, where Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu will hoist the national flag and receive the salute at the march past in the morning. The BSF is carrying out strict patrolling along the India-Bangladesh border on this occasion. Additionally, rehearsals for parades will be held in all parts of the state, with tightened security in those areas.

 

Ranjan further mentioned that the administration will take strict measures to prevent any untoward incidents today, January 25, and on the night of January 26. The traffic department has implemented various measures, and adequate BSF and TSR forces have been deployed for tomorrow.
