It is pertinent to mention that yesterday, the RK Pur police station had produced Dayalhari Debnath in the Udaipur court amidst tight security. He was taken into custody on charges of defaming the ruling party, including its MLA, on social media.

Police officials stated that Dayalhari Debnath had carried out multiple smear campaigns on social media to defame the ruling party, including its MLA. Additionally, there are allegations against him of extorting money from ruling party leaders. Two BJP workers had filed a complaint against him at the RK Pur police station, leading to his arrest.

Yesterday, the RK Pur police station had submitted Dayalhari to the court seeking a 5-day remand. Today, after a hearing in the presence of both the complainant and the accused, the court granted a 4-day police remand for Dayalhari.
