Agartala: Dec 15: On December 16th, 2024, Victory Day was celebrated at the Albert Ekka Park in Lichubagan, Agartala, in honor of the valiant soldiers who made supreme sacrifices during the 1971 Liberation War. The event was organized by the Indian Army and included a solemn tribute to the martyrs at the Shaheed Smarak (Martyr’s Memorial).
The Governor of Tripura, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, attended the ceremony and paid her respects. Also present at the event were Major General Sameer Charan Kartike and other distinguished dignitaries from the Indian Army.
