The distribution of entry passes began at the Tourism Department’s office on Wednesday. These entry passes are being provided free of cost. On Thursday morning, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Tourism Department’s office for entry passes. The long queue gradually increased over time, with thousands of people standing in line.

Although there were two counters at the Tourism Department’s office to distribute entry passes, people who came to collect entry passes complained of extreme mismanagement. They had to stand in long lines for hours to get an entry pass and expressed doubts about whether they would receive one due to significant delays in the distribution process.

Surprisingly, the Tourism Department office was closed at 2:30 PM. Thousands of young people, middle-aged men, and women who were standing in line became agitated. At one point, they lost their patience and joined in the protest. For about an hour and a half, the Tourism Department staff were not allowed to come out. The situation became so tense that paramilitary forces had to be deployed at the scene. Additionally, the Tourism Department staff secured themselves inside by locking the door. Gradually, the situation came under control as evening approached.

The common question among the people is, if the passes were distributed properly according to the rules, then such a problem would not have arisen. Some people have alleged that the event was organized without making adequate arrangements for passes, leading to this chaos. The past two days have been marked by a lot of confusion.
